Where has May Gone?

Oh, I've had a marvelous time this month, going to various farmers markets around town as they open...

doing a bit of stitching here and there...

taking pretty pictures of the May flowers brought by April showers...

doodling...

wandering around, finding my sense of direction...

treating myself to the simple pleasures brought about by cooking with springtime ingredients...

even picking up my knitting needles again (a terrific bus-riding pastime!)...

playing in the garden, adding new plants to the mix...

going to my favorite nurseries for more inspiration...

Oh, yes, I've been busybusybusy doing all sorts of fun things.  But woefully neglecting my blog.  Oh, and the to-do list, which got so overwhelming, I changed it's name to the "Great Ideas" list, and that, I believe, is how I came to the end of May doing all sorts of things, and not really getting anything accomplished.  And I am so.okay.with.it.  Have.loved.every.minute.of.it.  And, now I feel refreshed and ready to tackle this...

Let's Get STITCHED!

 I'm thrilled to be one of the instructors at STITCHED this year!  I'm teaching my Heartstrings class.  And STITCHED has been extended through the end of the year!  Yippee!!

 Are these cute, or what??!!  Here's the skinny...

  What is STITCHED? 

STITCHED is a collection of 20 online video workshops by 20 talented fabric artists.

Each workshop provides you with high value and high content information 

to get you sewing, designing and creating 20 unique fabric art and sewing projects.

 How is STITCHED set up:

By registering for STITCHED you have access to all the STITCHED workshops all at one time. You are able to pick and choose which ones you want to dive into first. The workshops are available to you any time you wish, until STITCHED closes on January 1, 2013.  Woohoo!!

And get this:  once you are invited to the private STITCHED site, you are free to view and work on any workshop you want any time of the day, any day of the week. The workshops are designed so that you can watch and easily create the project. The workshops are self-guided and you can take it at the pace that you want. If you have any questions, you can post it in the STITCHED site, and the instructor will help you. It is that simple.

What do I get as a STITCHED student?

-As a STITCHED student, you have access to all STITCHED video workshops - that's right, ALL of them!!  The workshops have been designed and created by the talented cast of STITCHED instructors.  Each workshop includes a pdf file which you can print and keep for future reference.

Each PDF file contains information about each workshop, including a pattern (if applicable).

-In addition to the 20 workshops, you will also have access to a video workshop by Alma Stoller called Beaded Fabric Jewelry and 5 additional mini video workshops.

-STITCHED has received the support of several sewing, quilting and craft companies.

They have provided me with a wonderful assortment of sewing items. 

Within the STITCHED site, we will host giveaways for all STITCHED students....from sewing machines, fabric packages, sewing and embroidery notions,.....just to name a few.

At the Nursery

There's just nothing like the first trip to the nursery in springtime.  We went two weeks ago, and I was just ooohhhhing and aaaaahhhhing over my photos from that day, and thought you might like a little garden inspiration on a Friday afternoon.  Enjoy.
